Getting the Most Out of Sales Appointments
12 minutes of useful sales advice in this week’s sales podcast over at Caskey - this time dealing with the question of how you “show up” on sales calls. It’s a good segment - make sure you listen and rate it.
Trends That Will Affect Salespeople
On the heels of the previous post about salespeople becoming extinct - here’s a link to Caskey’s podcast from today. 30 minutes (well, minus the regular 10 minutes of off-topic back and forth) of solid material about trends that will affect salespeople in the future. Good stuff - don’t forget to rate it here.
5 Rules of Conduct for Everyone in Sales
I usually enjoy Caskey’s Podcast - but here’s a link to one I found particularly interesting. Bill Caskey and Bryan Neale discuss 5 basics, 5 fundamentals that salespeople - both new and experienced - should live by. Skip the first 2 minutes, things can interesting at 4:30. They discuss intent, removing your own ego, bringing up cost and money, following up and understanding the reason for change. Good stuff, don’t forget to rate it.
Using LinkedIn to Make the Sale
I posted a podcast link previously about using LinkedIn for prospecting, and how important it is to be careful when doing this. Here’s a good article about using it correctly for prospecting efforts. Good stuff here.
Linking Up to New Prospects
Good, 15-minute podcast on leveraging LinkedIn for cold calling purposes. My two cents: LinkedIn is great, but be careful how you use. You could alienate people (your contacts and theirs) really quickly if you don’t do this in the right way.
Dave Stein Interviews Julie Thomas
Dave Stein and Julie Thomas discuss the challenges of helping sales people become more effective. Interesting discussion about value starts at 3:40. Bit of an informercial for the Value Selling methodology - but interesting nonetheless.
