Good, 15-minute podcast on leveraging LinkedIn for cold calling purposes. My two cents: LinkedIn is great, but be careful how you use. You could alienate people (your contacts and theirs) really quickly if you don’t do this in the right way.

No kidding about the being careful part. I have a few recruiters on my linkedin profile and, I kid you not, receive at least 2 or 3 emails a day where they ask me for an to introduction to someone I know. I mean, really – there is such a thing as “too much”! They could start by offering ME the job – oh well, can’t have it all
