30,000 feet above the Atlantic. Halfway through making a Powerpoint presentation. A blinking laptop battery indicator. Panic.

That about describes my last business trip to Europe. Scrambling for my power cord, I found out that whatever fits in your wall outlet, doesn’t fit in an airplane.

Imagine that.

So here’s a suggestion. Get an inflight power adapter ($139) – if you have a Mac, Apple sells the Magsafe Airline Adapter for $59.

Don’t wait until you’re in mid-air to figure out that these things are mighty handy when you need them!
